I believe athleticism belongs to every body. Too often, women and queer folks are told they have to look a certain way to be fit or take up space. My coaching takes a different path, combining inclusivity and accessibility with the challenge and satisfaction of working hard and lifting heavy.

About Me :)

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Sadie Stehr. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Functional Strength Coach.

My athletic journey has been anything but linear. I grew up playing soccer, swimming, and running competitively. Sports quickly became a huge part of my identity. They taught me discipline, perseverance, and how to chase big goals. But in my teens, that passion became entangled with an eating disorder. I began to tie my worth to how I looked and performed, leading to years of underfueling and chronic health issues that eventually forced me to stop competing.

It took years of healing to reclaim my health and rebuild my relationship with movement. Along the way, I fell in love with exercise science and discovered a new kind of athleticism, one that was flexible, compassionate, and sustainable. I learned that there is almost always a way to move your body; you just have to work with it, not against it.

As I healed my relationship with food, my health improved, and I found joy again in swimming (especially open water!) and heavy lifting. These forms of movement helped me reclaim autonomy, confidence, and trust in my body. For the first time in a long time, I was moving out of appreciation, not punishment.

Falling back in love with movement transformed my mental and physical health. After college, I dove deeper into coaching, working at an all-women’s strength gym and interning at a strength and conditioning facility. While my education gave me a strong foundation, it was the hands-on experience where I got to learn from incredible coaches and work with real people that shaped me into the coach I am today.

Now, I help folks of all sizes, backgrounds, and identities build strength, confidence, and connection with their bodies. As a queer coach, I especially care about creating affirming spaces where everyone, especially those in the queer community, feels seen, celebrated, and empowered.

Whether you’re looking to get stronger, faster, more powerful, or just want to uncover what’s possible, I’ve got you. Let's find your version of strong, together.
